You may ask what&#8217;s the right amount? What time of day should I take it? How much should I give my child? Whether you are new to drinking Tula&#8217;s CocoKefir probiotics or have been on a probiotic regimen for awhile now, we thought we&#8217;d take a minute here to expand on the specific <strong>&#8220;</strong>best use<strong>&#8220;</strong> practices  our founder&#8217;s enjoy when taking CocoKefir themselves. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#585858;">First, there&#8217;s no right or wrong way to consume Tula&#8217;s CocoKefir. There is no hard or fast rule as to when you should see results or to how quickly you should increase.  <strong>Everyone&#8217;s body is different</strong> and is going to react differently. If you or your child has a dysbiotic gut  (or leaky gut) you might feel the effects more quickly or strongly than others. After your first serving of CocoKefir™ you might feel bloating or churning in your stomach. This is a good thing, it&#8217;s a sign of  &#8220;die off&#8221;.</span></p>
<div style="padding-left:30px;"><span style="color:#585858;">Die off is when the good bacteria in CocoKefir enter the gut and begin to displace pathogenic yeasts. With conditions now unfavorable for yeasts, they begin to die off. In certain people with a strong gut/mind connection, this die off has resulted in behavioral changes that subside over time and their underlying issues improved with continued use.</span></div>

<p><span style="color:#585858;">Signs of die off are also a good gauge for increasing your serving. As part of a healthy diet and to support healthy gastrointestinal and immune function, we recommend to start with a tablespoon a day (teaspoon for kids) and work up to a 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup depending on your needs. Those with a gut dysbyosis or leaky gut, will probably, ultimately, need the larger serving.  Try going from a tablespoon to 2 oz, to 3 oz, and so on until you&#8217;ve reached the amount that serves you best. If that rate of increase causes you too much discomfort,  cut back to a serving size that you can tolerate and then continue to increase at a slower rate once you&#8217;ve stablized. Keep working toward the final serving size however, no matter how long it may take you. If you want the most out of Tula&#8217;s CocoKefir we suggest taking it on an empty stomach before bed, or first thing in the morning. You can also take it with a meal to help the digestion of that meal, or after a meal if you want to stave off a sugar craving.</span></p>

<p>Ingredients:</p>
<p>1/2 cup organic pureed pumpkin</p>
<p>1/2 cup organic peanut butter (avoid those with added sugars)</p>
<p>4 tbls ground flax</p>
<p>6 eggs (no antibiotics or hormones)</p>
<p>2 tsp organic cinnamon</p>
<p>1 tsp aluminum free baking powder</p>
<p>Mix all the ingredients will with an electric mixer. Cook on skillet over low heat or pour into waffle maker. Enjoy with sugar free stevia maple syrup.</p>

<li>A few slices frozen or fresh green apple</li>
<li>about 3 to 4 frozen or fresh blackberries</li>
<li>couple ice cubes</li>
<li>1/3 to 1/2 cup<span style="color:#800080;"> <a href="http://www.shop.cocokefir.com/Tulas-CocoYo_c4.htm" target="_blank"><span style="color:#800080;">Tula&#8217;s CocoYo</span></a></span></li>
<li>1 to 2 scoops <span style="color:#800080;"><a href="http://www.shop.cocokefir.com/Vitality-Greens_c5.htm" target="_blank"><span style="color:#800080;">Vitality Super Green Powder</span></a></span></li>
<li>a dash of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice</li>
<li>a spoonful of almond butter or sunflower seed butter</li>
<li>1/2 cup unsweetened flax seed milk (or non-diary milk of your choice) &#8211; use more or less depending on how thick/thin you like your smoothies</li>
<li>Blend!</li>

<p>**Notes: You can add a protein powder of your choice to boost the protein content or a couple drops liquid stevia if you&#8217;d like it sweeter. For those trying to avoid all sugar, reduce fruit portions or substitute for a handful of leafy greens.</p>

It’s strange that America’s <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/17/magazine/mag-17Sugar-t.html?pagewanted=all"><span style="color:#333333;">number one addiction</span></a>, sugar, would put an end to our yo-yo health resolutions, but is rarely recognized.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Sugar enhances the flavor of pseudo-healthy foods and is a cheap ingredient for food manufactures. Studies have indicated<strong> it’s as addictive as cocaine</strong>.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Agave, corn syrup, even high glycemic carbs, it all boils down to sugar.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><a href="http://tulascocokefir.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/new-years-vert-ad.png"><span style="color:#333333;"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-19" title="New Years Resolution" src="http://tulascocokefir.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/new-years-vert-ad.png?w=182&#038;h=300" alt="healthy new years" width="182" height="300" /></span></a>The idea of starting fresh for the new year is the prefect time to stop dwelling on the cookies and candies we indulged in over the holidays and focus on <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-frank-lipman/sugar-addiction_b_783203.html#s183038&amp;title=Take_A_a"><span style="color:#333333;">setting ourselves up for success</span></a> so that we can enjoy just one truffle and not the whole heart shaped box come February.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Sugar in all its forms inhibits <a href="http://tulasstory.wordpress.com/2011/10/19/inner-ecosystem/"><span style="color:#333333;">healthy gut flora</span></a> and immune function and feeds yeast in the gut. The more sugar you put in your system, the more you’re going to crave it. Consuming fermented foods and beverages, like <a href="http://www.cocokefir.com/"><span style="color:#333333;">CocoKefir and CocoYo</span></a> will naturally keep yeast in check and help cut sugar cravings.</span></p>
